What a fantastic Dusi with Bruce Fordyce of Comrades Marathon fame and Marcel Joubert of the Platinum Group. The Aca Joe K3 team was looked after like royalty at Tala Game lodge. We were well supported by Jill Fordyce our reliable second. We used a loan Toyota Fortuner 4x4 from Hillcrest Toyota, thanks to Warren Demmer. Last but not least, was our massage therapist, Marieta Engel who sorted out a sore muscles after each day.

Below is the photographic collage of all the 3 days of the Dusi. Our time for each day was 4 Hours 40 Minutes, 4 Hours 35 Minutes and the last day, 3 hours 21 Minutes. We finished in 436th position overall and made up 64 places on the last day, as we didn't have to run so much!

My two partners fared very well and we only swam twice in 3 days, at Taxi Rapid and Hippo Rocks Rapid, both swims were very short and sharp.

I
